How to Hide any Drive in Window 7 through Group policy


 
 
Prevent access to drive in windows 7
  You can Prevent user to access drive in windows 7Suppose you have your PC and other user also working on that PC , If you have your personal data on any drive then you can Hide that drive . after Hide that drive Drive will not be Appear on My Computer Explorer . You can Prevent user to access drive in windows 7














Follow these steps to Hide New Volume (D:)

1. Click on Start button , then Type in Search box gpedit.msc to open Group policy editor  then Press Enter









2. In the Local Group policy Editor window Click on User Configuration , then Navigate Administrative templates , then Click on Window Component .


















3. Double-click on Windows Explorer under Windows Component , then Double-click on Hide these specified drive in My computer .

















4.  Click on Enabled Radio button ,then Select Restrict D drive only in Drop-Down list, Click Apply , then OK.
























Now Go to the My Computer there is New Volume( D:)  Has been Hidden.
